Volunteer Befriender – Refugee & Migrant Services Team

Volunteer Opportunity

  • Location:
    There are various locations across Bedfordshire and Central Bedfordshire. Visits may take place in the home or in the community (depending upon the family you are supporting)
  • Hours:
    Minimum of one hour per week for a minimum of 6 months

The befriender volunteer is part of the Refugee & Migrant Services Team, providing social support to settled refugee families across the south of the county. We are ideally seeking local residents of Leighton Buzzard and Houghton Regis to help families integrate into the local community. You will be required to meet with your designated family on a regular basis in a variety of settings.
