Practical FAQs
Do I need experience to volunteer?
No experience is required. We provide full training for every role and ongoing support so you feel confident and equipped.
Will I get support while volunteering?
Yes. Every volunteer has access to our dedicated volunteer coordinator to answer questions, offer guidance, and ensure your experience is positive.
How much time do I need to commit?
Time commitment depends on the role and your availability. Opportunities range from a few hours a week to occasional activities, and we’ll help you find a role that fits your schedule.
What kind of training do you provide?
We provide all the training you need, including guidance on working with clients, safeguarding, and using any tools or resources required.
What happens after I apply?
Our volunteer coordinator will contact you to discuss your interests, suggest suitable roles, and arrange any training needed before you start. A DBS check may be required for particular roles, which HopeWorks will pay for.
Please note, HopeWorks is unable to offer sponsorship to overseas applicants for paid or voluntary roles.
